Hi Teri, I attended the workshop in Carrollton, hope the rest of your workshops in Missouri are as fun as the one we had. Really enjoyed it and look forward to putting the info to use.

Hello, I am a HS English teacher in a small rural community in WI and I LOVE you blog- Do you know when the US release of the 3rd installment of John Von Ruit book "Spud Learning to Fly" will be released? I found it out on the "net" but my local bookstore can't seem to find a copy.
Also, I would love to see one of your presentations. Do you ever come to the Mid-West?
Thanks for all the great book ideas,. They are my summer reading lists.

Heard you at NCTE last fall. Follow your site some say a bit fanatically...What can I say, I run a Nancie Atwell-esque 7th grade English classroom; the kids clamor for recs! Thought you might like to check out Longshot written by Lance Allred. Seems to be one of the better sports memoirs. As in, there's a begining, middle, end, real words, and a story line that's more than just statistics!

I don't usually sign guest books, but when I saw that you'd recently acquired a new owner, i.e., your Bengal, I had to drop a note of congrats. Our 2 Abyssinians grew up with Bengals-- what extraordinary personalities each breed has. It'll be interesting to see what your new guy likes to read. ;-).

I was incredibly fortunate to attend the TLA Conference in Houston this year. As an overseas librarian I am rarely in Texas in April. Thank you for making the content of your workshop available online.

I'm a new librarian (just starting my 2nd year), and I've attended two of your workshops in San Angelo. I wish I had known about you when I was a classroom teacher, but rest assured I'll be suggesting they attend your workshop next year. You are AMAZING.

Sorry I had to duck out early from your presentation in San Angelo last month. I had a family emergency and had to get to San Antonio a.s.a.p. All's well now, and I've been reading up a storm.

Teri, I attended a seminar that you held about a year ago in Houston for the Clear Creek Independent School District. You spent an entire day book-talking and it was wonderful - and also terribly mean since it was the week before school started and I wished I had more time to read all of the incredible books you told us about! Now, a year later, I have been going over and over your book and enjoying your recommendations. They have made for a very enjoyable summer vacation! Thank you for all of the work you have done for young adults and teachers of young adults. It is very much enjoyed and appreciated!
